WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

There is a reason why I am asking you to answer this question. In a recent survey that close to 300 of you participated in, you showed me that there are many stories that cling to you and affect your daily life.

If you are brave enough to look your story in the eye, then that is the first step. The big problem is that the story has been there for so long that you morphed and became the story and it has been on auto pilot ever since.

Here’s what I want you to do; find the ‘theme’ that developed from the original STORY of what happened, then you can take steps to go back and tidy up the script. We can actually go and edit and heal the chapters that have seemingly taken your power away.

Once FEAR steps in to protect you from ever letting that (story) happen again, you will avoid activating what you haven’t healed yet. Thus, it stays with you and becomes entangled with your belief systems and your creations.

a4a4c843f31a4240b9138f5d922255b1I am here to tell you that by staying grounded in the NOW and looking directly at the story of what happened, (or what didn’t happen), you are already showing up for you in a completely different way.

Here’s what I recommend:

    1.  Find the ‘theme’ that permeates your daily experience of your life, for example; low self esteem, guilt, shame, hiding, over-giving, not seen & heard, scarcity, victimhood, avoiding taking responsibility for your dreams, etc.
    2.  Stay present in the NOW and find the original story. By this I mean go back to the first time you felt this way… Let’s call it CHAPTER ONE.
    3.  As you open up Chapter One of the thing that happened refer to the story and notice what are you feeling? Name it. Here are some possibilities; fear, loneliness, resistance, disappointment, anger, resentment, guilt, numbness, vagueness, blame, just to name a few. Notice if you said something to yourself in that moment. “it’s all my fault, I’m not loveable, they don’t care about me, I am stupid”,etc.
Now that you have the ‘theme’ in mind and you found the story of origin, get really grounded & centred in the NOW moment. Ask yourself, what did I make this mean about me?

For example, if your father was absent and didn’t stick around to support you, you might have made up another story about you. This is the story that creates the theme. Often times, it is not about what happened, it’s about what you made that mean about you.

I want to help you to clear off the stories that you tell yourself daily, because they aren’t even true!

YOU are in charge of your story, no one else! It is time for you to be the one you have been waiting for so that you can re-parent the wounded inner child that lives inside of you.

This note came in last week from a sincerely grateful client:

Dana I have LOVED the journey you have walked beside me on. I can’t even comprehend the gratitude I have with the work we have already done and how I get to be where I am right NOW, would not be possible had we not cleared the path that kept blocking me. The beautiful thing right now is that I am not in a state of panic and overwhelm, rather receive and accept and relish. Dana, I have said it before, I will say it again, thank you for seeing me, for seeing who I am right from the get go. A gift that keeps on giving to me daily. It’s lovely not living with such big levels of anger and anxiety and worry that I kept pretending I didn’t have. Thank you Dana

If you would like to book a private one hour session with me, I will add 30 minutes to your session to support you to get out of your story. I am making myself available this weekend and would absolutely love to help you get your clarity and self love back on track.

Stay tuned to you, even if you don’t like the story that shows up. It is leading you back home to your truth that sits under your story.
